Rock This Party (2024 Reconstruction)

The original version was a political statement hidden in a house jam.
During the Bush 2 administration things seemed dire and needed an uprising. So, rock the castle was about getting him out of office. Little did we know years later we would have another president (#45) would be monumentally worse.
It took too long (a year) for the producer to do his own music to the lyrics and melody I wrote so, I got mixes done. I told him I was about to release it and ask me not to because he was going to finally work the project. 6 more months passed and I got fed up and released it. He later finished his own mixes and release one of my mixes in his release. Over the years, I never received and royalty statements or income from the song. It took too long to come out so, had no impact on the market.

A few months ago it popped up in a search I was doing and reminded me that I had rights to all of the mixes I had commissioned. I also liked one of the producers remixes so I stripped the stems down and reconstructed the song. This final result is the additional production I came up with.
